Co-Founder & Partner
Brian Lee is a Co-Founder and Partner at Diestro Partners, where he oversees acquisitions execution and asset management.
Prior to forming Diestro, Brian began as a hedge fund analyst, specializing in distressed debt and long/short equity. During his tenure at CastleKnight Management, Brian was one of four analysts supporting the fund's growth from $700MM to over $2BN in AUM[1] and a +27% net return in 2024[2]. At Balyasny Asset Management, he covered semiconductor equities for one of their best performing teams in 2025. Across his career, Brian led thematic investments in special situations such as regional bank failures, distressed office CRE, and AI supply chain shortages and worked on the bankruptcies of household names including Silicon Valley Bank, Rite Aid, and California Pizza Kitchen.
Brian graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered U.S. patent agent.
Co-Founder & Partner
Ricardo Ydrovo is a Co-Founder and Partner at Diestro Partners, where he directs the firm's investment strategy and fundraising initiatives.
Prior to forming Diestro, Ricardo spent seven years at COARE Companies scaling its manufactured housing platform. Ricardo joined the firm as an intern before advancing to Partner and Vice President of Acquisitions. He established COARE's acquisitions department, expanded the portfolio from 250 sites to over 2,700 sites across 44 communities, grew AUM to over $200MM, and positioned the firm as one of the nation's top 100 manufactured housing operators. While at COARE, Ricardo directed the execution and full capital deployment of two discretionary investment funds along with deal-by-deal syndications, managing all facets of deal origination, underwriting, due diligence, and capitalization.
Ricardo holds a B.A. in Economics from East Carolina University and is an avid tennis player and skier.
